Interfaith Work at Baylor
At Baylor, we anchor our interfaith work in our educational mission as a caring, Christian community. Since most of our graduates won’t go on to lead and serve in mono-cultural and mono-faith environments, it is vital that we expose students to people with different life experiences and belief systems, equipping them to navigate these relationships in virtuous ways. It is a missional imperative that aligns with key Baptist theological and ethical convictions around religious freedom, peace and justice making, personal faith, and the inherent worth of all people. Interfaith work is an opportunity for Baylor to live out our beliefs in diverse community, while carefully tending to the belonging of students from underrepresented faith traditions. Through this work, we build bridges of understanding in a pluralistic world in pursuit of the common good toward human flourishing.
